
Literacy Coaches Collaborative
HSTW NE Ohio Region is inviting your district (or building) to participate in a year-long Literacy Coaches Collaborative by registering a team of 2 or more K-12 administrators, literacy coaches, and teachers. Sessions will be facilitated by Olivia Weisman and Jessica Klump, Literacy Consultants, Educational Service Center of Lorain County.
We will be welcoming new and returning participants.

Dates:
Session 1: August 11, 2022
Session 2: October 12, 2022
Session 3: December 15, 2022
Session 4: February 8, 2023
*Attendance at all five sessions will be required.
Time:
9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Outcomes:
The district K-12 Literacy Coaches Collaborative teams will work with their assigned regional coaches to build local capacity to lead Ohio's Plan to Raise Literacy Achievement. As a result of this K-12 Literacy Coaches Collaborative, participants will be able to:
Lead a district or building literacy initiative
Provide ongoing support for teachers through professional learning, coaching, and modeling in the classroom
Participate in an HSTW NE Ohio Region network of literacy administrators, coaches, and teachers to build regional leadership capacity for literacy among HSTW and MMGW sites and beyond

About the Presenter:
Olivia Weisman has over 17 years of experience in education as an intervention specialist, literacy coach, and literacy consultant. Mrs. Weisman is a Certified Academic Language Therapist through The Academic Language Therapy Association and has extensive knowledge and experience in teaching students and adults how to read, spell, and write through multisensory strategies. She currently serves as a literacy specialist with ESC of Lorain County, as Executive President of Westshore International Reading Association, and as a National and Certified Local Trainer for Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling (LETRS). She is a proud mother of three boys that keep her on her toes.

Jessica Klump, M. Ed

About the Presenter:
Jessica Klump has over 13 years of experience in education as an intervention specialist, literacy coach, assistant principal, curriculum administrator and literacy specialist. Mrs. Klump has extensive knowledge and experience in teaching students with reading difficulties and coaching literacy leaders in problem solving and decision making. She currently serves as a Literacy Specialist with the ESC of Lorain County and is in the process of becoming a Local Certified Facilitator of Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling (LETRS). In addition to her passion for literacy, she is also a mother of two spirited and energetic children, and loves family time.
